all in a day's work

its a brand new month! started work at sasa hougang mall. how ignorant can i get! i actually dropped off at hougang point after a 15 min ride, when i was told it would take 20 min to hougang mall from yck. and i happily thought its due to the off-peak hours & the bus had travelled faster. so in the end, i cabbed down to hougang mall frm hougang point. hopped into a cab and incidentally there is this very very young cab driver. so much so that i cant help but commented, "you are so young!" she was wearing this white shirt, buttoned down thg, with this very trendy shades. i actually thought she looked no more than 28 yrs of age. and guess what? she is 40 yrs old la! omg! thing is, she had been doing facials for 20 yrs. she even went on to tell me that its essential to start young and a day & night cream is vital for a skincare routine. she handed me a namecard bearing the name & address of the place she frequented. the power of networking huh!
my new colleagues are nice & easy going. i think i had no qualms going to work now. they are such nice souls. the outlet may be a tad too small thg. considering how many products sasa has. and it gets quite straining when the goods come and we need to unpack them in such a cramped space. but stil, its okay. nobody is complaining.
and hougang mall is very HIP! northpoint just pale in comparison man. you have no idea how it feels like to live in a suburb with no hippy shopping mall, one you would choose to hang out at, considering yishun's sizeable population. oh well.
