< anguish >

Had a fruitful day today. Or so I thought.
Was helping out at the Nescafe Gold arts & VSA exhibition at marina sq today. Definitely an enriching experience & an eye-opener since I have not participated in these kinda fund-raising activity. Basically I was entrusted to introduce the artworks by the VSA artists, to the guests present or anyone who were interested to purchase the artworks. But of cos I wasnt that pro like Clement. He could rattle off the info straightaway. ha! Though I didnt know my stuff very well but I tried to learn on the job & observe how the other volunteers deal with the questions of the guests and so on. 3 of the VSA artists were also present. An honourable mention is the artist named Fern Wong Li Ting. Many were awed by her works as they require much time and patience and such intricate details. She was awarded distinction for the prestigious UOB Painting Competition. I enjoyed talking to her too! =) hopefully her works would be able to sell by this Sunday!

Today, the nation lost a remarkable individual: Elizabeth Choy. Much as what I learn from history textbooks of her heroine acts when I was younger, she is the perfect embodiment of living life to the fullest. Despite her age, she is still actively involved in community work. Giving herself back to the society.
May she rest in peace.
